This 10-day Photo Tour – Kyushu & Yakushima is designed for travelers who want to experience a wilder, more authentic side of Japan.
From the volcanic landscapes around Kagoshima to the ancient forests and waterfalls of Yakushima Island, we’ll explore a region shaped by nature’s raw power and quiet beauty.

Dimitri Weber
Dimitri Weber is a French photographer and drone pilot who has explored Japan six times, often by van.
He focuses on capturing landscapes, urban scenes, and aerial views, combining photography with a passion for travel and discovery.

- Rented private minivan, self-driven by Dimitri
- Luggage storage (if needed in-between trips)
Meal & Refreshments
- Daily morning coffee and seated breakfast whenever possible after sunrise sessions
- breakfast haven't been a thing in Japanese hotels since Covid-19
- Welcome dinner on Yakushima and farewell dinner in Fukuoka
- Always available water for day trips

Flights are conducted responsibly and within the legal framework defined by the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB).
✅ Registered and insured drones (in accordance with Japan’s UAS registration system)
✅ Authorized flight zones only — no-fly zones and restricted areas are strictly avoided
✅ Altitude limits respected (max. 150m above ground level)
✅ Flights only in safe conditions and when local regulations allow
✅ Participant safety and privacy always prioritized
All drone activities will be supervised by Dimitri Weber, a certified drone pilot with extensive experience flying in Japan, ensuring both creative results and full compliance.
