Amazing Aerial only works with Premium content, not Microstock. Our work can be found in magazines such as National Geographic, GEO Magazine Germany and France, and Conde Nast Traveler, in prominent advertising campaigns, and on the front page of large portals such as Microsoft’s Bing.com
Microstock royalties are generally between $0.10 to $1 on average. Microstock clients are designers with smaller budgets or magazines that buy bundles of thousands of photos for cents.

Yes. Self-promotion is important and encouraged. Branding yourself is important, especially if you want to become an Amazing Aerial course instructor within our community.

No. You have to choose whether you want to sell Premium or Microstock content, you cannot do both. We cannot have the same photo selling for 10 cents at one agency and $500 at another. You are basically shooting yourself in the foot as clients will not want to pay premium prices for a photo they can find at a much lower price elsewhere. We already have established relationships with Premium customers that want high-quality work and are willing to reward you for it, so it makes no sense for you to seek out other clients that will pay much less.

Some photographers who have been with us from the beginning have earned a total personal royalty licence revenue of over $40,000. Our team members in the last year have earned between $400 and $12,000 of annual revenue. Our overall revenue has doubled over the past year, so our photographers are seeing more and more earnings.
How much you can expect to earn will also depend on how much work you put into building your portfolio. To be successful, you need to shoot and upload fresh content regularly to build your portfolio and generate sales. Our clients love fresh content!

Exclusivity means that we are the only agency that has the right to distribute and license your work through stock agencies. Trust us we’ve got you covered with the best agencies in the world.
Exclusivity protects your work and your income. Exclusivity also allows us to follow up on copyright infringement and get revenue from companies who use photos without permission.

The royalty split depends on the distribution method and the nature of your work. Depending on how we distribute your work, the royalties are as follows:

Partner agencies: 50-50
Direct Sales: 30-70 This is a lower percentage, but the payout is higher because royalties from direct sales are much higher. Our efforts in developing direct sales are costly, therefore the split has been adjusted.
Assignment: 60-40: After travel and other expenses, the photographer gets a higher commission for the work. The agency takes its commission for pre-production and post-production liaising related to the job.

If you have drive, you can be a good fit for us regardless of your experience level. In the early days, many of our aerial photographers were just at the beginning of their career, but they had motivation. Some now employ teams of people, have production companies, or make a living travelling the world shooting photographs.

The recorded LIVE course has 4 modules. Each module is 1 hour long. Each module is cut into chapters of 10 minutes, so you can easily, stop and start, at your own pace.  Additional LIVE training sessions are given regularly, which allows you to ask questions directly to our editors during the class.

Some courses are recorded, for you to watch at your own leisure. Other courses are live, where you can participate and ask questions.

Yes. Once you have passed the Amazing Aerial Academy, you can join the agency and start submitting your work. Our collection is highly curated, so only your best work will be accepted.

Yes and we encourage it. If you have been shooting for years, you can curate and select your best photos and submit them to us. Our curation team will review and select your best work.

We also offer a paid service, which allows you to submit raw footage, which we can edit for you.

Yes. We have an editing team that takes care of our photographers who don’t have the time to edit photos, clip videos. This is a paid service, so you will need to contact us for a cost estimate.

We recommend submitting as often as possible so you build your portfolio and grow your sales. As we also distribute to NEWS AGENCIES, please feel free to shoot events, natural disasters, protests, festivals etc. This will keep your portfolio fresh and increase your sales.

Our team grows bigger every week. We are always looking for new talent to join the agency. 

Blackbox only distributes video. Amazing Aerial distributes photos and videos. Blackbox distributes to approximately 6 video agencies, Amazing Aerial distributes to over 15 video agencies.

Wirestock distributes only to microstock agencies. Amazing Aerial distributes only to Premium agencies.

Amazing Aerial used to require a $1,000 joining fee. We’ve now replaced that with a flexible membership starting from just €10 per month—making it a low-risk way to get started, without a big upfront investment.

Because of this new accessible model, we ask for a minimum commitment of one year. This gives you the time and tools to start generating revenue from your portfolio in the first months.

You’re free to upgrade or downgrade between plans at any time. Once your work is uploaded, it must remain online for at least three years. Even if you cancel your membership after the first year, you'll still receive payouts if your content generates revenue during that time.
